“Before
he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder”.
I love
this story…
How often
are we able to see an answer before we even finish asking the question? Not
often. But then, we aren’t often watching as carefully either. Abraham’s
servant had his eyes glued to that well. He was watching everything that
transpired. He couldn’t miss Rebekah.
Plus,
he was very specific. In his prayer he said “when I say to a girl,
‘Please let down your jar that I may have a drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and
I’ll water your camels too’—let her be the one you have chosen for your servant
Isaac. By this I will know that you have shown kindness to my master.”
I
wonder how many answers we miss simply because our lack of specificity makes it
nearly impossible to recognize an answer…or we are paying such poor attention
that the answer walks right by.
That
wouldn’t sound like God’s fault to me…
Live
boldly out there today…
